Here's Ways for MacBook-Ram-Upgrade

The procedure for upgrading Mac memory (RAM) varies depending on your Mac version; some models, such as the MacBook Air, cannot be upgraded. You cannot upgrade the RAM on all MacBooks and MacBook Pros.  If you have the ability to upgrade RAM on your Mac, you usually do so by removing the case and replacing the old RAM modules with new ones.

How to Upgrade the RAM in Your Mac

Allow your MacBook Pro or MacBook to cool completely before turning it off. Remove any and all cords, cables, and accessories. Turn the laptop over so that it is face-down.

1. Remove the MacBook Cover

There are several screws that secure the bottom cover. To remove these, use a normal Phillips head screwdriver.

As you remove the screws, take care not to strip them. Because the screws are small and easily lost, keep a paper towel or similar item nearby to place them on. To discharge any static electricity from your body, touch a metal surface inside the computer.

2. Remove the Previous RAM

Locate the RAM module and eject it with the ejection levers. Gently Remove the RAM module while being careful not to touch the gold connectors. If another RAM module is available, repeat the process. Insert your new RAM module(s) for your MacBook Pro or MacBook, taking care not to touch the gold connectors.

3.Install the Upgraded RAM

Insert the second module after pushing the new one down until it clicks. After aligning the notches at about a 30 degree angle and gently pushing in, softly press down on the RAM to feel it click into place. Repeat this process for the second stick, and you’re done.

After the new RAM is securely installed, you can replace the cover. However, while you’re disassembling your computer, take a moment to clean any visible grime. Remove any dust build ups with a cotton swab or canned air, paying special attention to the fan.Simply line it up again and screw the screws back in to replace the cover.

4. Confirm That Your Mac Recognizes the RAM

After that, restart your computer to ensure that it recognises the RAM correctly. You should see the new amount of RAM next to Memory in the About This Mac window you visited earlier. If you want to see more information, open System Report and navigate to the Memory tab.

Why should you upgrade your Mac's RAM memory?

  • RAM upgrades allow your computer to perform more demanding tasks or handle multiple tasks at once without experiencing performance hiccups. A RAM upgrade is one of the most effective ways to speed up your Mac.
  • RAM is your computer’s brainpower for on-demand tasks. RAM stands for “random access memory.” RAM is used by your computer to temporarily store information for whatever it is doing at the time, such as loading web pages, sending emails, running apps, and so on.
  • Upgrading your MacBook Pro memory or other RAM on your own carries risks. When you open up your computer to tinker with its internals, you risk damaging sensitive components and voiding Apple’s warranty. The same is true for speeding up your iPhone.
  • If you’d rather avoid those potential issues, optimise your computer with a tuneup instead. AVG TuneUp will improve the performance of your Mac without the need for RAM upgrades. To get your Mac running like new again, free up disc space and enable automatic maintenance. You can also consider upgrading your Mac with an SSD drive to improve performance even further.
