

After using the amazing Android 12 we all are waiting for Android 13. Google is soon releasing Android 13! And the developer preview for Android 13 was already released in February.
The first Developer Preview for Android 13 was released on 29th February 2022 and Developer Preview 3 was released on 17th March 2022. It is expected that Developer Preview 3 for Android 13 will be released in June 2022. And the official release of Android 13 is expected to be in September 2022.
According to the developers, Android 13 has a new and beautiful music player and output picker. Power and setting shortcuts are now placed in the Quick Settings menu. Android 13 now has Material You’s new colour choices, with 3 dynamic themes. An app drawer is placed in the taskbar. Android 13 will have the new 3D wallpaper, which converts a photo into 3D wallpaper by adding 3D zoom in the photo. Do Not Disturb mode has been renamed Priority Mode.

The Android version always had a sweets based name such as Android KitKat, Android Oreo and Android Pie, this time it has a name dessert, Android officially told us that the codename of Android 13 will be Tiramisu (An Italian Dessert).
Till Android 12 if we didn’t want an app to show notifications we have to disable it through app information, but Android 13 will have a new feature of asking for permission to allow or deny the app notifications when the app is started. This feature will be really handy for all those apps that spam or send annoying notifications.
Currently, most of the smartphones can scan QR just by the camera, and now Google will be adding a QR code scanner option to the quick setting tile. This will surely help those who don’t have a QR scan feature in their Camera and saves the time of opening the Camera.
Android already offers us to change the language of the device which honestly didn’t help much because it wasn’t working on some apps, a lot of users don’t know English and only know their native language, so they have a hard while using their Android phones, so now Android 13 users can choose all languages individually for every app, which will surely help a lot.
Android 13 will have a secret feature called PhantomProcessKiller which stops and kills the useless background processes and apps, it can be disabled in Developer Options.
Android 13 will have a feature called TARE (The Android Resource Economy) which will warn you about those apps that are secretly running useless background processes and consuming extra battery.
This feature is gonna be really handy for those users who want to control more things with their smartphones and those who forget their gadgets usually. Mobile phones with UWB (Ultra Wide Band) Feature can use UWB for various purposes such as using your phone as the key to your car, communicating with devices with UWB support, finding lost devices with UWB feature, etc.
Android 13 will come with a feature to consume a lower battery while using Bluetooth audio streaming.
Android 13 will have a feature to choose where to output audio or choose multiple outputs options for audio. You can change whether you want to audio to be played in the phone speakers’ Bluetooth output or your headphones.
It is most likely to happen that Google’s smartphone Pixel will get the first updates of Android 13.
