We put so much effort into our washing machine to clean our clothes and make it overwork and we don’t even take care of the washing machine as we should. So today, here you’ll see 7 Tips to Keep Your Washing Machine as Good as New!

1. Deep Cleaning

We always want our machine to give its best and clean our clothes completely, but this can not be the case forever. After some point in time, your washing machine will lose efficiency and the resulting cleanliness of the clothes will start decreasing.

This happens because the micro dust particles in the water that you use for washing clothes get in the components of the machine and make it less efficient. So Deep Cleaning is the best thing to solve such issues.

2. Protect the Finish

To keep your washing machine shiny and good looking, to increase the beauty of your house or room, protect your washing machine from liquid spill outs. If there’s dust or any liquid on the exterior of your washing machine, clean it instantly or if it’s left for too long, it’ll get stuck on the body of the washing machine and will be tough to remove.

Always keep your sides and top of the machine cleaned with a glass cleaner. Keep your washing machine as new as it just came from the factory.

3. Choose the Right Detergent

Choosing the right detergent for the washing machine is an important step. The detergent you may be using can affect the Washing machine’s components and also your clothes.

So use the machine-specific detergent or detergent with less alkalinity and lesser harshness. Using a regular detergent will lead to destroying your clothes and the machine’s efficiency.

4. Leave the Door Open

If you close the door of your washing machine right after washing your clothes will lead to bacteria and fungi formation in the washing machine and this will help the harmful bacteria and fungi to get into your body, making you sick.

A lot of people think that closing the door would stop dust from building in the machine’s interior. This may be true to some extent, but how will you kill the bacteria in the machine that grows thereafter keeping it close?

So keep your washing machine’s door open after washing the clothes. Always keep your door open for about 30 minutes and after that take a thick dry towel and wipe it thoroughly on the interior.

5. Clean the Filter

Washing machines have a lint filter in them which captures the lint and dust present in water. If the filter gets full of the dirty particles and you don’t clean this filter once in a while, the dust will stay in your clothes, keeping the clothes dirty and also sitting in the washing machine’s interior and increasing the efficiency and life of the washing machine.

And if this is ignored this may lead to significant damage to the pulsator and the agitator. We’ve already posted a Dedicated Blog on how to clean your washing machine. Check it out How to Clean the Front l Load of the Washing Machine

6. Clean the Rubber Gasket

The rubber gasket in a washing machine saves your hands from the sharp edges of the washing machine and doesn’t let water inside the washing machine. And if it is not cleaned properly it’ll gather dust on it and lead to serious results.

Sometimes the dust carries bacteria or fungi on them which then sit upon the gasket of the washing machine which may lead to degradation of the gasket. So always keep the rubber gasket of the washing machine clean.

Cleaning it once a week is enough for it to be as good as new. We’ve already posted a Dedicated Blog on how to clean your washing machine. Check it out How to Clean the Front l Load of the Washing Machine

7. Use the Washing Machine Carefully

The washing machine is a big and bulky unit but also is a sensitive unit, don’t go harsh on it. If you stuff too many clothes into the machine, the rotators will not rotate properly and will give out less cleaned clothes and will decrease the efficiency of the washing machine and may damage the motor.

So don’t go overboard on your washing machine and use it carefully.
